Love in Action’s Community Care team seeks to love God and love our neighbors through compassion, connection and collaboration. Every person is created in the image of God and is worthy of love, grace and compassion. Members of our community are accessing food through the food pantries at least thirty percent more often this year than last.

It’s hard to believe we’re so close to launching our New Community Co-op Market. After much anticipation, our new freezer, refrigerators, and a heaping load of shelving were all delivered to the Market.
Over the years, Love in Action has expanded to provide many things. But food provision was our very beginning. Our goal is to make it hard to be hungry in the Tri-Cities. While in our blessed community, food is available for most of us; we work to make sure it’s available for all.
I am mentally wired to be a fixer, and I've been on my own since I was 18. As a result, I have always believed if you want something done right, do it yourself. Thus, I have always thought that helping meant fixing what was broken.

In a difficult economic time forty years ago, an attentive clerk in Spring Lake noticed that the toilet paper she placed in her office’s restrooms was disappearing. Clients of the office were taking it because they were having difficulty providing for their own families.
One of the major challenges of 2023 is homelessness. We’d love to share how Love in Action is combatting this problem in our community. Our goal is to provide each person with a place of compassionate care in the same way Jesus cares for each of us.
