Combatting homelessness with community
“Our goal is to positively impact individuals by offering love and hope to those struggling with homelessness. Hope House and Harbor Hall have become a place of healing from past traumas and experiences, a place where people are given an opportunity to transform into the men and women that God created them to be. It has become a community where people come to thrive”.
Hope House opened for women and children in June of 2011. For women and women and children experiencing homelessness, our housing program uses a holistic approach to encourage personal development and life transformation. We do this by fostering growth in areas of life that support sustainability:

Creating pathways to sustainable housing
Love in Action of the Tri-Cities combines community giving and support from eight local churches. The goal is to prevent homelessness when a family or individual hits a bump in the road and does not have the funds to meet their basic housing needs – rent or mortgage. It also assists with gas, electricity, and water.
The Housing Ministry Collaborative Team works with families, establishing budgets and educating through Financial Fitness classes. Generally, the HMC seeks to assist families that will be in a position of sustainability going forward.
Homelessness may be prevented when families with established homes are helped over difficulties that are just a moment-in-time.
The ability to secure affordable housing is a large burden for many individuals and families, when combined with a need for accessibility, this challenge can be daunting.
Thanks to our generous community, Love in Action has established Providence Place. This facility provides eight income-based units, four of these units are completely accessible for those living with physical disabilities.
Volunteer as a Resident Advisor or Mentor.
We are donor-supported, your financial contribution directly translates to help for those struggling in our community.
We believe in the potential of each individual and seek to help people by not only meeting their needs but helping them discover their God-given gifts and abilities. Our mission is transforming lives by empowering people to thrive.
