Carla came to Love in Action due to a variety of needs. In her intake with a volunteer advisor, she shared that recently her medication had increased in cost far beyond her financial means.
Sarah came to LIA after years of being homeless off and on. A very young mother-to-be, she had been raised by a parent who had also been homeless. She came to Hope House and felt the love of the many residents and staff as they embraced her.
Homelessness has become a difficult challenge in the Tri-Cities over recent years. Love in Action is very much at the center of the organizations seeking to help those facing this challenge in northwest Ottawa County.
Over the past two decades, our current Donation Processing Center at 1106 Fulton St. has served as the heart of our operations, processing countless donations of food, clothing, furniture, and other essential items to support our community.
Imagine a single non-profit ministry that provided food, shelter, clothing, furniture, appliances, along with a health and dental clinic. Imagine that it thrived due to hundreds of volunteers working together to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
