While I don’t know what all the future holds, I know that God has a good plan for me. I’m so grateful to finally have the hope and peace that only He can give, and for the eyes to see all the amazing ways He orchestrates every detail in life.
The Lord kept leading me to read a devotional that speaks about ‘reluctant leaders’ and how sometimes those can become the leaders He needs most, in the sense that they will lead purely out of a desire to serve Him rather than selfish motives. If I ever am in a position to lead others, I know it would be for the Lord as I’m an introvert by nature! So when we were told we would be able to attend the Global Leadership Summit at All Shores Wesleyan Church, I was certain He’d orchestrated that.
I took away an abundance of nuggets of wisdom from the GLS: ‘the best way to leave your history is to run toward your destiny’, ‘your point of view determines whether an obstacle will be a problem or a possibility, and ‘how you steward the mundane moments determines how you’ll handle the momentous as well, to name just a few. I was so thankful to have the opportunity to attend the Global Leadership Summit, it was an awesome experience.
After hearing all the incredible speakers, as we were leaving the church, I’d voiced to the other ladies how I wished Hope House could somehow get the books they were selling at the summit, so we’d have the opportunity to read them. Then what do you know, members from All Shores had decided to pitch in and purchase them all to bless the ladies here!!! God is so good! We were truly blessed by your generosity and kindness, thank you so much!!!”
