Unexpected Answer to Prayers

This winter season a poignant encounter with a client reminded us again of how blessed we are and who we serve. An individual who came to us was facing a difficult situation. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to provide immediate assistance with their immediate need. We were able to pray together though they left our office discouraged.

As they left our office, feeling discouraged, they sat in their car and wept. Unexpectedly, a family member called offering to help cover their immediate expenses. And as if by divine intervention, two women approached them, inquiring about their distress. Sharing their situation, including the prayer offered at our office, led to an invitation to attend the women’s church.

This experience profoundly reminded us of the power of prayer and the unexpected ways God works in our lives. Love in Action is who we are because of you— our community. Your contributions of food, furniture, clothing, and financial support enable us to serve those in need. But beyond all this help for which we are thankful, God is at work in ways we cannot always see.
