Introducing our Market Manager, Julie Zylstra
It’s hard to believe we’re so close to launching our New Community Co-op Market. After much anticipation, our new freezer, refrigerators, and a heaping load of shelving were all delivered to the Market. While the freezer and refrigerators have already been installed, assembling the shelving is a larger project that will take us a bit more time to complete. We are in need of food. Any donations will be appreciated and can be dropped off at 1106 Fulton Street in Grand Haven.
A couple of weeks ago, we were able to host our first Open House to give potential volunteers a guided tour of the space as well as an opportunity to learn more about the Market. As the groups walked through and began to see each room come to life, their excitement was contagious. While the event was successful and we are blessed to have quite a few volunteers that have already signed up, there are more openings available. If you have an extra hour or two available and are interested, please reach out to Megan Bradley at megan@loveinactiontricities.org. The Co-op is a membership-based Community Center that offers access to resources, educational opportunities and a Food Market that provides consumer choice and healthy options.
