Years ago, a young mother with three boys, all under school age, walked into Love in Action’s Client Hub on Ferry St. Her initial request was a simple one: food.

They were excited, but they soon faced a common hurdle: the crippling cost of childcare. For this young family, the expense made it financially impossible for the mother to take a second job. Until her beautiful boys grew older, they were in a difficult, temporary space.
