Mentoring Program is Soaring!

Connect Two, LIA’s student mentoring program, has seen incredible growth! We’re thrilled to announce that the program has more than doubled in size over the summer, now including 75 dedicated mentors!

We are deeply thankful for the overwhelming community support in launching this vital new initiative. Connect Two is already making a difference in nine schools across the Tri-Cities area (serving students in kindergarten through 8th grade) sharing the love of Jesus through the gift of time and attention.

It’s truly exciting to see mentors stepping up to invest in the lives of our local students, proving that a little bit of connection can truly inspire hope, joy and confidence.

One of our mentors recently met with his student, and they chatted about his friendships while playing a game of Skip-Bo. When the mentor walked the student back to his classroom, the student’s final request said it all he asked if the mentor could possibly come back that afternoon instead of next week! This simple, genuine request perfectly illustrates the deep connection and positive impact these relationships are already having.
