FILL THE GAP
Help us meet our community's need by December 31, 2024. To date we have raised over $85,000!
Each year Love in Action provides food directly to those in need in our community through the following food ministries:
Backpack Blessings
300–500 packets of food for students on weekends when food is less available.
Pantries
Hosted in churches; An LIA pantry is open everyday of the work week.
Community Co-op
A membership based community and training space with a shopping market (new in 2023).
Food Trucks
Every other Friday, in the St. Patrick's church parking lot, LIA hosts a mobile distribution open to all.
Over the past several years, these ministries have become more needed than ever before with 26% more people requesting food in 2023 than the previous year. LIA has a fund designated particularly for purchasing food that allows donors to help specifically with this need. A gift to Love in Action’s food fund is ONLY used to purchase food… never any overhead costs such as staffing or utilities.
As food has become a more dramatic need in our community due to the increase in area costs, we are thankful for all who give to make sure others have basic necessities like food!
